The HW-140 power supply is a real all-rounder. In real time, the display shows either the voltage and current strength at the input, the voltage and current strength at the output or the power output. The different modes can be changed by a button, with the lettering in/out, next to the display.

Right next to this button is another, with the lettering on/off. With the help of the ON/OFF button, it is possible to switch off the display or switch off the output. The possibility of switching off the output is very practical because no cables have to be separated to deactivate the power supply. In order to be able to determine whether the output is currently switched on or off there is an LED with the lettering on. When this lights up, the output is activated.

The module has two trimmers to adjust the voltage and the current. These are adjustable independently of one another. The voltage is displayed with an accuracy of 0.01V, the current strength with an accuracy of 0.001a or 1mA. When the current strength reaches the set maximum value, an LED lights up with the lettering CC. This signals that the limitation of the current is achieved.

In addition, the module has a soft start, when switching on the voltage is up to the selected value and is not directly due.

These features make the power supply usable for many applications. The built-in anti-backflow diode is particularly practical when loading car batteries or batteries. So that the current flow does not reverse if the voltage of the battery exceeds the voltage of the module. In addition, this diode works as a polarity protection at the output.
